Meet Kelly
Nice to meet you!
Kelly Parratore has 9 years of teaching experience working in elementary education. She earned her Bachelor degree in Education from the University of Illinois and her Masters in Reading Curriculum from Concordia University, graduating with a Reading Specialists Certificate. As a classroom teacher, Kelly taught fourth and fifth grade at a blue ribbon school, Ogden Avenue School in LaGrange, for 9 years. In addition, Kelly has been tutoring for over 26 years and has worked with over 320 students ranging from preschool through high school. Kelly’s passion is helping students learn to be motivated and excited about learning.
Kelly has four young children of her own, ages 4, 7, 9 and 11. After having her second child, she took a parental leave from teaching. Not ready to give up her love of teaching but realizing her children needed her at home, she started her tutoring business again. The small group classes were created so that students could still learn from each other, have meaningful discussions, and remember that learning is fun!
Kelly LOVES helping kids discover how much fun learning is. She is really passionate about helping children find confidence in their learning and see that they are capable of so many great things!
“Every child can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way.” – George Evans
