Creative problem solving
At Kelly’s Kids Tutoring, grades and scores are not our fundamental focus, nor are they our primary way of measuring achievement. Rather, we believe that the most important thing we can do in a child’s life is to improve their self-esteem and build their confidence.
We hope to change our students’ attitudes about how they approach a difficult situation in academics — taking them from discouraged and frustrated, to excited and up for the challenge. A session is successful when a child leaves feeling more confident and excited about learning than when they entered. Positive reinforcement, games, and prizes are just some of the ways we hope to succeed with each child!
Math
Mastering math facts is critical in order for students to be successful in logical reasoning.
Reading
When students set a goal, we want to make sure they are motivated and can find a love for reading.
Writing
We break down the writing process so that students feel less overwhelmed and more encouraged to do their best.
